1) i am interesting to know what did your government told you about the on going nuclear program?
from what i know. Iran says that
"nuclear power is necessary for a booming population and rapidly industrialising nation. the country regularly burning fossil fuel in large amounts to produce electricity, it harms Iran’s environment drastically"
is that all the main idea?
2) is their any one in your country (or people in the gov) ever questioning, why nuclear? why not the Bioenergy or Photovoltaic or Solar Thermal or Hydro Power or Wind Power or even the Underground Thermal Energy?
Their is a lot more cleaner, newer, better, cheaper and less dangerous ways of producing energy today. Why nuclear?
do your gov every make a clear explanation of why they pick the nuclear?

my answer to your first question yes, fossil fuel is polluting the environment so another source of energy might be helpful to reduce the pollution,
to your second question, i can say that, you are in a big mistake, the country’s purpose of making nuclear energy is not just having "energy".
It’s more about having power, and i believe they’re making nuclear bomb, not all iranians agree with them though,
i believe they don’t need nuclear "energy" becoz they are exporting gas to russia and uzbeks, so energy is not the story,
when the former president was ruling the country, they were doing the same thing, the problem is with the new president and all his threats to israel "they should be removed". otherwise there are other countries producing nukes, but no one objects their facilities etc.
If only we could get rid of this president….

Iran doesn’t want to make Nuke.
Iran has right to has been nuclear peaceful power stations and researching on atomic energy.
The world has some facilities to achieve out facts, such as "United Nations" and "International Atomic Energy Agency".
Also Iran lets them to do a lot of researches about its ability and goals.
"IAEA" inspectors have done a lot of inspects in all of places where they wanted, even military stations.

For answer to your second question, I should add Iran like the all of countires has some other projects to work on other energy sources like wind turbins in "Rood bar_North of Iran", Solar cells "Kerman & Isfahan_Center of country", Hydro power sources "The most of country", Natural Gas, etc.

1)yes it is the all.our capital city tehran is one of the most air polluted cities of the world,and the project will result in some physician and other technologies use(not nukes).
2)yes but like other places in the world the atomic reactors are more efficient and as i said has other benefits for other technologies.

About the first question I should tell you that they tell us:
we are a developng country and we need nuclear energy for our industries and that they can provide us with cheaper and cleaner energy And as we are running out of fossil fuel, therefore we needsome substituting energy And they always make people sure thatteir purpose is totally peaceful.
About the secound one, I may say that you are to some extent right But please consider that we insist on nuclear energy because we have invested billons of dollars on it. this is the money of every single one of us. So how could the world expect us to leave it and go for a new one.We have reached to the technology and we want it!

2)because nuclear energy is cheaper than solar energy because we have a lot of uranium mines in iran because we have wind and solar energy but they cant produse mich energy

1- Yes, our government told us we need nuclear power as an alternative and modern energy supplier.
But I believe their first goal to obtain the technology of nuclear power is to be first powerful country in middle east.
2-Yes, many people (including me!) believe there are lots of way to obtain cleaner energy. but we can not write articles or speak in local medias about that. because unfortunately we don’t have free media and newspapers.
