Is biomass energy actually “carbon neutral?”?
As I learned in my resources geology class: biomass fuel is carbon neutral because burning it is only releasing carbon that was in the air before the plant converted it into other compounds.
Really? So are fossil fuels carbon neutral because they are merely releasing carbon that was in the atmosphere at an earlier point [...]

People who are environmentalist, what is better to use solar, biomass, or wind energy if all the oil ran out?
If all the oil in the world ran out and we needed a resource to equal oil, which one would an environmentalist choose. Of course they are trying to help and protect the earth. Which one of these would be chossen by an environmentalist? Please answer my question. Thank you!

I believe energy in the biofuel is less than the sum of the energy spent in making it. Is it worth it?
Biofuels have been wrongfully promoted and mistakenly perceived to be ‘carbon neutral’, that they do not add any greenhouse gas to the atmosphere; burning them simply returns to the atmosphere the carbon dioxide that the plants take out when they were growing in the field. But this statement ignores the costs in carbon emissions and [...]
New Geothermal Technology will Increase Clean Energy Capacity
For centuries, people around the globe have used Earth’s heat: from relaxing hot springs baths to geothermal energy production for entire cities. But the resource has always been limited to areas with sufficient underground warmth. Now, as US officials encourage the development of clean-energy technologies, the industry is developing new, more efficient ways to capture [...]
