Do you like this new form of alternative energy?
As a geography major, I’ve done extensive research on alternative energy. I have a new idea called "rain power." I think we should instill rooftop generators incorporated into rainwater collection. Rain falls diagonally rather than straight. Therefore, the terminal velocity from the raindrops could spin these turbines and generate electricity. Monsoon Season in Asia would [...]
Renewable Energy Payment Feed-in Tariff: Creating Jobs
Renewable energy payments or feed-in tariffs create jobs by creating a market for renewable green energy. Homeowners and businesses can install renewable energy systems and then sign a contract with their local electricity utility to puchase all of the energy. The purcahse rate is usually four to seven times higher than the rate charged by [...]

What is biomass energy? I need to know everything about biomass energy :}?
I need to know what it is, how it gets a copper wire/magnet to spin to produce electricity, where in the world it is used, how expensive or cheap it is to harness, what companies and/or governments are researching this type of energy, and what are some problems with the energy harnessed from fossil fuels.

Is alternative energy a pipe dream in the short run?
Should the citizens of the united states demand the government provide energy by any means until the technology and the hardware for alternative energy are ready?
I am not saying alternative sources of energy will not happen, of course they will, but we need energy now.
Get the electricity any way we can and phase out [...]

Are light, sound, heat, wind, food digestion, thoughts, all forms of energy or do they all energy producing?
Are light, sound, heat, wind, food digestion, thoughts, all forms of energy or do they all energy producing?
Also, it is possible that a form of energy (Wind) that produces energy (wind energy that produces electricity) could produce a waste byproduct that could then be used as another form of energy? The heat produced by wind [...]

How does alternative energy lead to lower oil prices?
Alternative energy is energy…like electricity.
Oil isn’t used for electricity – or is it? I can’t think straight right now, I’m so confused.
So if we have more alternative energy, why does that reduce our dependance on oil?
Thanks
…You didn’t answer the question. Why is there less demand for oil (thus, creating lower oil prices) [...]
How would you convince the US government to fully support and invest in alternative sources of energy?
I know if the government really put every resource they had into alternative energy, it would become possible to commercialize this industry in as little as 10 years. But 2 decades of war in the Middle East have not encouraged this move, neither have terrorist attacks. Greenland already is moving away from oil [...]
There Is No Energy Crisis, There is a Crisis of Ignorance
Visit www.geni.org for more information. A sustainable global energy strategy, first proposed by Buckminster Fuller in 1969, to interconnect the abundant renewable energy resources between nations around the world.
